We are so excited about all the great things that are happening.  We are kicking off October with theCovenant Roundup on October 2nd where we will have food and fellowship immediately following the am worship service in the Covenant gym. 

Then we begin to prepare for the Salems. Harry and Cheryl Salem will be with us October 27th-30th. Thursday, October 27th at 6:30pm Ladies Meeting with Cheryl Salem in Covenant Church gym. Saturday, October 29th We Who Worship Conference starting at 9am with Harry and Cheryl at Covenant Church. Sunday, October 30th they will be sharing during the 10:30am Worship Service.

Also Friday, October 28th Covenant Church will be sponsoring the Coffee High School Football game. Game starts at 8pm and the Trojans will be playing Colquitt. We will be handing out free admission tickets  to the Planetshaker concert and a special gift. Come and help us serve Coffee County.

Sunday, October 30th at 6pm is our fall family night. There will be contest, fellowship time, food, pony rides, jump house and much more. Please bring chili, chips, dessert or drinks as we celebrate Jesus, friends and family.

Saturday, November 5th PLANETSHAKERS will be live in concert at Covenant. Doors open at 6pm and concert begins at 7pm. Free Admission!!! go to www.planetshakers.com

Pep Rally

You were created by a loving Father God… Your life has purpose. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Many of us cannot believe that there is a loving Father God that is not mad with us but is crazy in love with you and me.
Most everyone knows the story of Adam and Eve of how they failed at life and allowed sin to come in by disobedience and we dwell on all the mistakes. I am here to tell you that this story has a happy ending. There was another man, Jesus, who was also God and He took all our sins, diseases and mistakes (Psalm 103 and Isaiah 53) and defeated them so we could have victorious life through Him. If you are thinking today, if I could only start over, the answer is Yes. Today is the day of salvation and new beginnings. You can never go forward when you are always looking back. I tell you to ask the Lord to remove the rear view mirror and start looking unto Jesus for your life direction.
The Bible says in Psalm 92:13, “those that are planted in the house of the Lord will flourish in the court of your God”. That means we need to be in fellowship with our church family; encouraging each other in the game of life to not sit on the bench but be a most valuable player. The Father God sees each of us as only children and wants to lavish us with His love, grace and mercy and then it is our responsibility to share that awesome love with all those around us. I encourage you to pick up the ball of love and run the distance. It does not matter where you come from, what you look like, who your family on earth is: what matters is you are a child of God Almighty and He wants you to meet at church for pep rallies and have your uniform on with Jesus name on the back…..
Come to the pep rally…. You’re the MVP……

Give First

Today is the day that you can give first. Sow love, forgiveness, gentleness, kindness, self control all the fruits of the Spirit and reap a harvest field of good fruit! do not wait on someone else to start the sowing of love but you take the leap of Faith and step out on God’s Word and sow first. In Luke 17 Jesus shares on forgiving and the disciples answer Lord increase our Faith… Jesus immediately begins to share on sowing and reaping. so to grow you must sow the seed of the Word! As you begin to sow the Lord helps it supernaturally grow. A harvest of blessing that will over take you and run you down.

psalm 78:1-7 Message vs. 6 so the next generation would know, and all the generations to come- know the truth and tell the stories vs. 7 can trust in God, never forget the works of God but keep His commands to the letter.

The Bible is full of stories of ordinary people that became champions in the face of uncertain obstacles. They put there trust in God and over came. They are champions. they are heroes but they are no different than you and I. They were in the WAY and had faith that moved mountains. Today you are the generation that climbs the great mountains, walk the valleys and stand on the Word that never fails. you are champions. you are heroes. When you pay the price it is the route to the winning circle. the price we pay is renewing our mind to the Word of God and we offer a sacrifice of praise. heroes trust the Lord they live in a place where they live in faith not by sight this means they believe God’s promises. a champion focuses his life yoked with Christ and aligned with the road map of God’s Word. Leave a legacy of victory behind for those who dare to pursue the tracts of the determined. get up! get out! and get on with life! filled with the knowledge of knowing that God is with us and on our side! You are the next generation! You are the champion! You are the determined! You are the one God is depending on. We are cheering you on! love  Gregory and Jackie

Wagon Load

JESUS daily loads us with HIS BENEFITS OF SALVATION. THE VALUE OF SOMETHING IS DETERMINED BY WHAT SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PAY FOR IT. THINK ABOUT WHAT PRICE WAS PAID TO REDEEM US. FOR GOD SO LOVED US HE GAVE THE LIFE OF HIS SON FOR OUR PURCHASE. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THEM THAT BELIEVE. YOU ARE OF GREAT VALUE.

Calling!

it is amazing that when we call on the name of the Lord, Jesus, we will be saved. He always answers and runs to us. it is also amazing that He called our name first,when we were dead in our sins. Now we are alive in Him and He is continually cheering you on. Read John 11 about Lazarus and let ressurection power bring life to your broken places… He is the God of restoration. The God of Hope, Love, Mercy and Faith. Call out His name, JESUS!

Holiday Buzz

We love the Holiday Season. We love going into malls, hearing Christmas Carols, everywhere you go you are being reminded that a Saviour was born. We like turkey, dresssing and lots of desserts, but we love being with our family and friends. We enjoy the weather changing and the new seasons, and the cool weather has made us want to hunt and shop… but the thing we desire most is to share the gift of Love from our Heavenly Father with you. This time of year reminds us to slow down and enjoy relationships. If any of you do not feel that you belong we invite you to connect at Covenant and join our family. Where you can laugh, love, grow and belong!!!!

Middle of a Miracle

No matter what is going on around you, continue to speak the promises of God! Just like in Acts12:7, The Lord is saying get up and follow me. You may feel like Peter and be in chains, but by obeying the voice of heaven you will walk right into your miracle. We serve a miracle working God, that never changes. Remember you are God’s Favorite, and you were the Joy that was set before Him at the Cross.  Share your miracle because it is hope to someone else. You are the light of the world because Jesus Christ is in you.

Stretching

What ever is broken or withered in your life when you stretch it forth toward the Lord healing can come to that area… Forget the past and reach forward to a future that God has planned for you Jeremiah 29:11! we are excited about what the Lord has done and is doing..

Jesus—- Face to Face
I once was lost and could not see,
But then I heard His sound.
So beautiful was the Savior’s voice,
I trembled yet turned around.

And what I saw was the “real” me,
What I knew was “lost”.
So choosing to follow Him right then,
The Redeemer—the heavenly “Cost”.

The blindness lifted—my eyes could see,
I now could Worship His Way.
The Will of God—the eternal Word,
The Wisdom is Glory’s display.

His love so deep, so wide, so long,
Directed right towards me.
No longer lost, but to my past,
Not blind for now I see.

To know there is no other Way,
To know the taste of Grace,
To choose Him in this world gone “Lost”,
Is to see Jesus—Face to Face.
